Easy Petal Coaster Free Pattern
Hi! Here is a free pattern for my petal coaster crochet design. Its beginner-friendly and easy to follow! Hope you enjoy making them!
Materials
Stitch markers
Yarn of choice
Hook for yarn of choice
Scissors
Tapestry needle (to weave in ends)
Abbreviations
- ch -- Chain
- sl -- Slip stitch
- sc -- Single crochet
- dc -- Double crochet
- tc -- treble crochet
- ch-sp -- chain space
- *....* X times -- Make stitches in *...* X number of times. (eg *sc, dc* 2 times. You should sc, dc, sc, dc)
Special Stitches
- tc3tog -- *Yarn over 2 times, insert into stitch. Yarn over and draw through a loop. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over and draw through 2 more loops. (You should have 2 loops on your hook. * 3 times. (You should have 4 stitches on your hook). Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops
- tc2tog -- yarn over 2 times, insert into stitch. Yarn over and draw through a loop. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over and draw through 2 more loops. (You should have 2 loops on your hook). This is your 1st incomplete tb.
- Yarn over 2 times, insert into stitch. Yarn over and draw through a loop. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over and draw through 2 more loops. (You should have 3 loops on your hook). This is your 2nd incomplete tb. Yarn over and draw through all 3 loops.
Notes
To work stitches into chain-spaces, insert hook into the space/gap/hole created by chain(s) in the previous round and work stitches in the pattern.
Free Pattern
Make a magic ring
Round 1: Ch 6. *Dc, ch 3 * 7 times. Sl into 3rd ch from start of round.
Round 2: Ch 4. tc2tog into same ch-sp. Ch 2. tc3tog into same ch-st. *Ch 2. In next ch-sp: tb3tog, ch2, tc3tog* 7 times. ch2. Sl into 4th ch from start of round.
Round 3: Ch 4, tc into next ch-sp. *Ch 5, tc2tog: 1st incomplete tc in same ch--sp, 2nd incomplete tc in next ch-sp and complete stitch* 15 times. Sl into 4th ch from start of round.
Finish off and weave in ends.
